Understanding Your Nutrient Status Indicator

The scores given for nutrient status are calculated based on the signs and symptoms of functional ill health that you have reported.

Small problems that you wouldn’t take to the doctor such as skin dryness or split nails tend to signify the body’s need to prioritise nutrients that are becoming scarce. By assessing all these possible signs, together with relevant dietary issues, it is possible to estimate which nutrients your body is deficient in.

This assessment method is generally better then any blood or technological test because other tests have no way of looking in all the places where nutrients are stored. Even if you take a blood sample it will only show what levels of the nutrient happen to be transported in the blood at that moment in time. This could in fact be deemed to be normal when in fact the stores are desperately short.

The factors used to determine each of these nutrients are:

Vitamin A
Dry, sore or sensitive eyes
Dry or scaly skin on your head
Spots or eczema
Digestive irritation
Excess consumption of alcohol
Low consumption of dairy products and meat
